Villanova sophomore Donte DiVincenzo has been named the 2018 Sixth Man of the Year by the BIG EAST.
The 6’4” shooting guard is averaging 13.8 points, 4.6 boards, and 3.4 assists this season as he came off the bench in 21 of the Wildcats’ games this season.
Villanova’s Josh Hart claimed the honors in 2015.
The Conference divvied out other awards on Monday. Khyri Thomas from Creighton took The Defensive Player of the Year Award, Seton Hall’s Myles Powell won the Most Improved Player, and the BIG EAST Sportsmanship Award went to Tyler Wideman from Butler.
The BIG EAST will announce the Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, Freshman of the Year, and outstanding Men’s Basketball Scholar-Athlete on Wednesday.
Villanova returns to action on Thursday at 7p, when they will play the winner of Marquette and DePaul in the Quarterfinals.
