Villanova is #24 in the premier release of the NCAA NET Rankings

‘Cats will face 4 of the current Top 5 this season.

The first version of the 2019-20 NET Rankings for the NCAA was released on Monday and the Villanova Wildcats (8-2) have been posted at #24.

NET (NCAA Evaluation Tool) debuted last year as a new barometer for the NCAA Selection Committee. It includes game results, strength of schedule, game location, scoring margin (capping at 10 points per game), and net offensive and defensive efficiency.

Ohio State, is at the top of the standings, with Kansas, San Diego State, Butler, and Baylor rounding out the top 5.

Across the balance of the BIG EAST, Providence has the worst NET Ranking at #146.
