Suddently, things are not so rosy for Villanova. They’ve lost 2 of their last 3 games (two-straight on the road) and now head to Washington D.C. to take on Georgetown.
There’s no sugar coating Sunday night’s implosion. Villanova’s stars were out of rhythm as the ‘Cats blew a 19-point lead to the Johnnies. They now just have a half-game lead over Marquette, with the Warriors in action later tonight against Butler.
The Hoyas will likely smell blood in the water as they look to get out of a rough patch of their own. Villanova has won 9 straight in the series, and 12 of the last 13 overall. Patrick Ewing will certainly want to buck that trend on Wednesday night.

In Nashville for work, and this comes at the recommendation of the hotel bartender last night. I have the same wish for this beer as I have for the game: don’t be bad.
