The Villanova Wildcats are staying in Bubbleville.
With the game against Big 5 rival Saint Joseph’s Hawks postponed, due to a positive test on the team, the Wildcats have found a new opponent: the Hartford Hawks.
It’s not the first schedule shakeup, and definitely won’t be the last.
Villanova and Hartford will face off on Tuesday night at Mohegan Sun Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcasted on ESPN2.
Both teams enter Tuesday’s matchup fresh off of a loss.
Hartford is 0-1, after losing to UConn in its season opener, 69-57.
As for Villanova, it is 2-1, winning the 2K Empire Classic to start, before losing to Virginia Tech in overtime on Saturday night.
According to the press release, and as we’ve seen once before, “The Bubbleville game schedule may continue to evolve in the coming days due to COVID-related circumstances beyond control.”
However, with the Wildcats set to play the Texas Longhorns on Sunday afternoon, not sure if Villanova will attempt to squeeze in another game between Tuesday and Sunday.
