2021 AP Week 3 Poll: Villanova up to #7

Following a one-game, one-win week, Villanova has been bumped up to #7 by the AP Writers in the recent polls released on Monday for the Wildcats’ victory over Georgetown on Friday to start the Conference Season.

Gonzaga tallied 54 of the 63 votes for the #1 spot as Baylor grabbed the five and Iowa tallied one for the Top 3. Michigan State and Kansas round out the Top 5.

Houston (at #6) is also ahead of ‘Nova; West Virginia, Creighton and Tennessee round out the Top 10.

Villanova will host Butler on Wednesday and then will face #17 Virginia at Madison Square Garden on Saturday.

Xavier and UConn are also receiving votes to represent the Conference.
