The Villanova Wildcats announced that senior forward Dhamir Cosby-Roundtree recently underwent a surgical procedure to address a tibial stress fracture in his left leg.
As a result, he will be sidelined from basketball activities for an undetermined length of time as a he recovers.
“Dhamir has been through some difficult medical challenges,” Villanova head coach Jay Wright said in a statement. “He continues to persevere and provide leadership and energy for the team. We all pray he can get back to health soon.
He previously had surgery on his right shin last April to remove metal hardware related to an earlier procedure on that leg.
Cosby-Roundtree has yet to play this season. Last year, he appeared in 29 games, averaging 1.5 points and 2.2 rebounds per game.
