Villanova super-senior point guard Collin Gillespie has been named by the AP Writers to the Preseason All-America Team.
He was joined by Illinois big man Kofi Cockburn, UCLA guard Johnny Juzang, Indiana forward Trayce Jackson-Davis, and Gonzaga’s Drew Timme- who was the only unanimous selection on all 63 ballots.
Gillespie, was named by the BIG EAST coaches as conference Preseason Player of the Year, as well as to the Bob Cousy Award Watch List for the nation’s best point guard.

The 6’3” Huntingdon Valley, PA native and Archbishop Wood HS alumn, averaged 14.0 points and 4.6 assists per game last season, before going down with a leg injury towards the end of the season.
