2022 Hoops Mania, Blue-White Scrimmage dates set

Basketball season is around the corner, and there’s nothing quite like the annual Hoops Mania and Blue-White Scrimmage to help fuel that preseason hype.

Villanova announced the dates for both of those events, which will take place at Finneran Pavilion, so mark your calendars!

Hoops Mania will take place on Saturday, Oct. 1, after the annual Villanova Day of Service.

Tickets for Hoops Mania are distributed to current Villanova students through the lottery system. The event is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. It’s an annual pep rally for the men’s and women’s basketball teams, likely to feature some dance numbers, three-point shooting and dunk contests, plus an intrasquad scrimmage. The night will end with a surprise musical guest.

The men’s basketball team’s Blue-White Scrimmage will be the first public glimpse of the 2022-23 Wildcats, and that is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 6, at 7:30 p.m.

Admission is free for the Blue-White Scrimmage and doors open to the publich at 7:15 p.m.
