Consensus four-star 2023 prospect Elmarko Jackson (Marlton, N.J./South Kent School), the top-ranked remaining uncommitted point guard in the country, has trimmed his list of prospective schools down to seven.

Villanova, Miami, Kansas, UCLA, Texas, Notre Dame and Virginia have made the final cut.

As detailed in our late-summer recruiting check-in, Jackson was one of the hottest stock risers from the last few months, piling up numerous offers during the live recruiting periods, before electing to focus on a final 11 list in mid-August, which he has now cut down to just seven.

He impressed on the Under Armour Association with Delaware-based We R1, then took MVP honors at the Under Armour Future 60 camp. An athletic scorer and shot-creator, Jackson has improved as a shooter, being able to find consistency with his jump shot at all three levels, and has been working on defensive mechanics to prepare for the next level.

Jackson took an unofficial visit to Villanova back in August and told 247 sports that he liked what he saw.

“It was really good, I got to watch their alumni game,” Jackson said of his Villanova visit. “A lot of their alumni came back. Great to see all the past Wildcats come back and give a lot of knowledge to the current players right now and see how it’s really a brotherhood and a family, like they say it is.”

Villanova was one of many schools to hop onto the recruiting scene for Jackson during his summer glow-up. Kyle Neptune and the staff officially offered him on July 2.
