After the Villanova Wildcats landed their first class of 2024 commit late last week, could Kyle Neptune and Co. be on track to secure their second commitment?
The Wildcats are hoping to keep their momentum going on the recruiting trail.
On Monday afternoon, 3-star forward Malcolm Thomas announced that he will be making his decision on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. on a livestream via On3.com’s YouTube Channel.
Villanova is in his final five, a list that also includes California, Florida State, Vanderbilt and Xavier.
Thomas is a 6-foot-8, 195-pound forward. He is a three-star recruit, per 247 sports.
Thomas attends DeMatha Catholic (Md.), the same high school that Justin Moore attended.
He averaged 11.6 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game this last season. He appeared in 33 games for an average of 19.2 minutes per contest as a junior last year.
Thomas recently visited Villanova in mid-September. He previously told On3.com:
““Villanova is a place that has always been somewhat of a dream school for me to play. The environment is crazy, and the fan base is really strong. The coaches have made me feel a sense of “family” that I really had no idea about. I love the program and the system, and I really see myself becoming great at Villanova.”
