The return of Al Louis Jean to the football field will have to wait one more week. Reports suggest that the Boston College cornerback will be suspended for the Eagles game against Villanova this weekend, for a "violation of team rules." He missed the entire 2012 season with an ankle injury and was supposedly battling for the starter role at one of the corners this season. It isn't clear what actions caused Jean to be suspended, but at the moment it appears to be the first and only suspension anticipated for this weekend.
Instead, the Eagles will go with Manny Asprilla at the left cornerback spot -- who started there last season -- and Bryce Jones starting on the right hand side.
Jean is a former 4-star recruit who was initially committed to play at Miami before switching to BC. He started in the secondary as a true freshman in 2011, however, playing in 10 games, recording 15 tackles and one interception that was returned 26 yards for a touchdown.
Villanova's offense isn't known for it's vertical attack, but with one less talented cornerback in the secondary rotation, the Wildcats could benefit at least slightly from that.
