Elijah Trent bursted onto the scene after a breakout junior season, one that culminated in many offers and increased interest from colleges. However, earlier this month, he verbally committed to Villanova.
On Wednesday morning, he put ink to paper and made it official.

Trent had an amazing senior season as a wide receiver at Thomas S. Wootton (Md.), racking up 76 receptions for 1,203 yards and 14 touchdowns. He was also a featured player in the Wootton secondary and return team.
Aside from Villanova—Robert Morris, Monmouth, as well as CAA rivals Stony Brook, Towson, Maine, and Albany, and four FBS schools—Ball State, Buffalo, Charlotte, and Old Dominion—reached out.
He’s likely to be a safety for Mark Ferrante. At 6-foot-3, 180 pounds, he has above average size. He also has great speed and quickness to go along with that frame.
