Ralph "Trey" Johnson Signs With Villanova

The Florida CB brings speed and aggression to the Villanova secondary.

Ralph "Trey" Johnson became the fourth commitment in Villanova's 2013 football recruiting class in early December 2012. Johnson, who stands 5'11" and and weighs in at 155 lbs., committed to Villanova on his official visit. According to 247sports, he was offered by FBS schools Western Michigan, Buffalo, Ball State and Bowling Green.

Johnson possesses above-average speed and athleticism that saw him also compete for his high school's track 7 field team. He should be a candidate to push for early playing time with the Wildcats.

According to his coach, Johnson is a solid man-cover cornerback.

"He can back down a wide receiver and we feel comfortable with him covering any receiver on the field," said Perez. "He allows us to put in blitz packages. Trey is pretty aggressive. He will put a lick on anything that comes his way."
