Villanova was again moving upward in the rankings this weekend after a dominating victory over rivals Delaware in the final week of the regular season — and securing the CAA's automatic bid to the FCS playoffs. The Wildcats were ranked behind Old Dominion (No. 3) and New Hampshire (No. 11) among CAA football members in the poll.
Six CAA football members were ranked. Including Towson (No. 15), James Madison (No. 17) and Richmond (No. 18) as well as future member Stony Brook at number-10.
