Last week, we called you in to action to support sending the students to the victory over Liberty. Because of your generosity, it was reported that Villanovans funded approximately 2500 students to attend last weekend's game. Even with the monsoon-like conditions, over 500 Villanova students attended the game.
Villanova hosts Sam Houston State this weekend in the FCS quarterfinals, and we're here again to rally support for the football program. You may be a basketball-first fan (most of us are), but the football team has been putting out a superior product for years now, and doesn't get anywhere near the fan or financial support of their basketball counterparts.
There's a lot of discussion on here about growing the football program and having the right vision to make Villanova an athletic powerhouse. Don't be the type of alumni who sits on their hands and complains about the way things are - be a part of the solution to help change, even if you're just donating a few dollars.
In addition to funding student tickets, your donations will help fund tickets for the players' families as well. Allow me to let Jeremy Wang, Executive Director of the Villanova Athletic Fund, give you the details on how to support this cause:
You can help us with this initiative by making a tax deductible donation to Villanova Football. Your support will help us to get tickets into the hands of our students and assist with what is hopefully a long championship run. To make a gift, please go online to www.supportvillanovaathletics.
com and click on the make a gift button. From there scroll down to the option of "other athletics priorities" when prompted to designate your gift please type "Football Postseason". If you would prefer sending a check, please send to the following with "football postseason" in the memo line:
