FCS Top 25: Villanova drops again to #16

Following a loss on the road, the ‘Cats have dropped three spots.

NCAA Football: Villanova at Lafayette Matthew O'Haren-USA TODAY Sports

The Villanova Wildcats football squad dropped three spots to #16 in the newest STATS FCS Top 25 following a very disappointing loss on the road at Richmond over the weekend. The Spiders checked in at #6 in the poll, holding steady from last week.

North Dakota State dropped from a unanimous #1, down to #4 after a loss to South Dakota State in Fargo. Sam Houston State has now taken over as the top team this week.

The CAA is also represented by Richmond at #6, James Madison at #8, and Albany at #23, and Stony Brook at #24.

Villanova will look to bounce back this weekend with a top-25 match-up on campus in what could be the penultimate home game of Head Coach Andy Talley’s career. The program will honor their longtime head coach with a ceremony on the field. Talley will retire at the end of the season.

Please consider attending to help make #12500ForTalley a reality.
