This morning, Villanova announced the signing of Pennsylvania defensive lineman Aaron Seigle from Susquehanna Township. He had been the fifth member of the class to give his commitment on the second day of July. He's also reported offers from Syracuse, Buffalo, Old Dominion and Bucknell at the time.
At 6'3" and 280 pounds, Seigle will project to play as a defensive tackle at Villanova, helping to anchor the defensive front. He was named All-State as an offensive lineman in 2015, and participates in track, wrestling and the school band as well.
Depth Chart (* denotes walk-on)
Class | Name | Height | Weight |
---|---|---|---|
Junior | Eric Drains | 6'4" | 305 lbs. |
Junior | Ricky Young | 6'2" | 300 lbs. |
Sophomore | Bryan White | 6'1" | 285 lbs. |
Eric Drains and Ricky Young both played a bunch last year and looked solid. Things are looking great for Bryan White as well. There's not a ton of depth here, so Seigle is an important signing.
Welcome Aaron to 'Nova Nation!
