Villanova’s lone verbal Brandon Slater did not garner an invite, but most of the Wildcats’ main targets did. 2018 prospects David Duke, Jahvon Quinerly, A.J. Reeves, Jalen Smith, Cole Swider and Elijah Weaver will all be attending.
Cole Anthony, Bryan Antoine, Armando Bacot and Scottie Lewis will be there representing the class of 2019.
It’s disappointing and a bit odd to see Slater out of the mix given that he’s a local and a Top-40 prospect. Oh well!
Given that the event is at UVa, expect to see several unofficial visits happening either before or after. Adam Zagoria has already confirmed that Jahvon Quinerly is expected to do just that given that the Virginia Cavaliers are among his finalists.
That’s par for the course in recruiting these days - remember that Quinerly and Weaver taking unofficials to the West Coast schools when their AAU circuit was in Los Angeles a few weeks ago.
