Bryan Antoine, the top ranked shooting guard in the class of 2019, has scheduled an official visit to Villanova on November 3rd:
Official visit schedule for 2019 @teamrionational wing @BryanAntoine_

Florida Sep 15
Kentucky Sep 22
Duke Sep 29
Villanova Nov 3
Antoine is widely considered a one-and-done prospect and is currently ranked 6th overall in his class by 247sports.com. Duke appears to be the early front runner, but Florida, Kentucky, and Villanova are still in the conversation. Kansas appears to be the lone school that won’t get a visit after being named to Antoine’s Final 5 schools back in May.
Two things stand out about the timing of the visit. The first is that Villanova appears to have the last word, being the final stop on the prospect’s recruiting trail. That can be a double-edged sword, especially with Cal and Coach K are involved. They’ve been known to get recruits to commit before leaving campus, even when other visits are scheduled. But if Antoine gives each school the opportunity to woo him, Villanova could certainly leave a lasting impression that will be the freshest in his mind come decision time.
The second interesting aspect of the schedule is Villanova’s date, November 3rd. Hoops Mania will have come and gone by then, but the regular season won’t start until the 6th. It’s a Saturday during football season, but the Wildcats will be playing on the road at Richmond that weekend. It wouldn’t shock me if this is the date for a Villanova preseason exhibition game, so mark your calendars now!
Villanova is currently more of a dark-horse candidate to land the 5-star prospect, so it’s hard to get hopes up at this point. But with 2 National Championships in the last three years, one-and-done recruits are starting to pay more attention to Jay Wright and the Wildcats.
