'Nova interested in Pitt transfer Marcus Carr
Transferring Pitt guard Marcus Carr has received interest from UConn and newly minted national champ, Villanova.
— Adam Zagoria (@AdamZagoria) April 5, 2018
Despite playing on a historically bad Pitt team, the freshman had a decent year posting 10 ppg, 4 apg and 2.8 rpg. The 6'1" Montverde product was ranked #146 and rated 3-stars coming out of Montverde Academy. It is important to remember that as of this moment, no Villanova players have declared for the draft and the 'Cats are technically 1 scholarship OVER the limit next year. While Carr would have to sit next season out, the interest would appear to be an insurance policy in case of unexpected departures.
