Earlier this week some good news broke when Andy Talley stated he could get some injured players back sooner than expected, we might see one of those players back in action when Villanova hosts Albany on Saturday night.
Starting center Ross Hall has gone through two different injury spells this year, but he's listed as a co-starter with Peter Sotiriou this week. That likely means he'll give it a go in pregame warmups and the staff will make a game-time decision as to his availability.
On the defensive side, freshman Ricky Young has replaced classmate Eric Drains as the backup to Noble Ajakaiye. No word on if that's because of injury or performance, but it's a decent bet we'll see Young get some reps this weekend.
All else remains the same on the Villanova roster - Tanoh Kpassagnon, Gary Underwood and Earnest Pettway are all expected back at some point this season, but it looks like we'll have to wait at least one more week to find out whether they'll make it back before the playoffs.
