Villanova Football Depth Chart: Sotiriou starting at center, Reaves retakes cornerback job

A couple of changes from a week ago.

Last week's loss to Richmond brought about a significant injury. Starting center and All-CAA performer Ross Hall went down with a nasty leg injury and had to be helped off the field. Hall has already missed several games this season and Peter Sotiriou has done a decent job providing cover. The former walk-on will get the start this week, and will be backed up by sophomore Jonathan Green.

Steve Weyler's missed PAT last week was the difference in the 10-9 defeat, but Andy Talley is sticking with the freshman as the starting placekicker. At this point, it's the right move. Chris Gough is a senior (and has had his share of struggles) while Weyler needs to get the experience and confidence for the rest of his career to be a success. Let's hope that comes sooner than later.

On the defensive side of the ball, freshman Malik Reaves has taken the starting job back from C.J. Logan. Reaves started won the starting job out of summer camp but after some freshman moments was replaced by Logan. With Logan struggling last week, Reaves will get his shot to stake his claim to the position opposite Jason Ceneus.

All else remains the same with Gary Underwood, Earnest Pettway, Tanoh Kpassagnon and Corey Majors long-term absentees. Here's the full depth chart from Villanova:
