Villanova's Mark Jackson not interested in USC Athletic Director position

That takes care of that.

When Mark Jackson was announced as the Athletic Director at Villanova last fall it took many by surprise. He was long-rumored to be the Athletic Director in-waiting at the University of Southern California and his move to the Main Line was considered by some as a short-term position before an eventual return to the West Coast.

Pat Haden's health issues sped up the rumors of that return up as the current AD for the Trojans announced his retirement for the end of June.

Today, Jackson told SiriusXM College Sports Nation that he is not interested in the USC job. The former associate AD for the Trojans said, "I am not entertaining any thoughts of returning to USC."

For an athletic administrator, a job in Troy would definitely be a "step-up" from 'Nova. However, seeing Jackson's commitment to Villanova makes Nova Nation extremely proud of the leader of their Wildcat Athletics Department.
